Charles Joseph Torborg age 89. Born June 11th, 1932, passed away peacefully at home on November 27th, 2021. He was a life-long resident of Northeast Minneapolis and dedicated member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He attended St. Boniface Grade School and graduated from De La Salle High School in 1950. Charles was a proud retiree of Honeywell, where he worked as a production engineer in the Military Avionics Division for over forty years. Charles' life was completely devoted to his faith and his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carol; children, Nicholas (Michelle), Margaret Lantta (Keith), Charles John (Stacey), Thomas (Renae), Laura Peichel (Greg); grandchildren, Christina Lantta, Caitlin, Michael, Jack Torborg, Lucy, James Torborg, Julianne, Carolyn, Charlotte "Charlie", Benedict, Lillian and Joseph Peichel; sister, Sr. Mary Cecilia, SCC; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret; brothers, Adrian "Sunny", Richard and John "Jean"; sisters, Marie, Leora and Elaine. Charles will be missed for his strong faith and family values, his ability to fix anything and his willingness to take on any project and complete it with meticulous attention to detail - no matter how long it took. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at ST. BONIFACE CATHOLIC CHURCH (629 2nd St. NE Minneapolis, MN 55413) with visitation two hours prior to Mass. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials preferred to: Pro-Life Across America or Sisters of Christian Charity.
