Dolores Natalie Schultz passed peacefully on September 3, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 9, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Theodore Obert and Natalie Henthorn. Dolores grew up in Cleveland, where she graduated from John Hays High School. Her father passed away when she was just 14 years old. When her mother was re-married to Carroll Henthorn and moved to Glidden, Wisconsin, Dolores moved to Wisconsin and began working in Ashland.
She attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, MN, where she met the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Schultz. After graduation in May, Dolores and Chuck were married on August 15, 1953. They began raising a family and after a brief ministry in Granite Falls, Minnesota, they settled in Blaine.
Dolores spent her working life as a bookkeeper – first at North Central Bible College and then for over 30 years at Lewis Bolt and Nut Company in St. Paul, MN, where she retired at the age of 65. After retirement, she continued to use her bookkeeping skills to assist her son, Dan, as he built his contracting business -- Builders by Design, Inc. She retired from bookkeeping for Builders by Design at the age of 80.
Dolores played the piano, the saxophone, sang harmony with her husband and brought music into the lives of her children. She volunteered her time and talents for over 40 years at the Camilia Rose Convalescent Home, where she and Chuck held weekly church services for the residents. When Chuck passed away in 1984, she continued to hold monthly services for the next 32 years. She lived her life with an abiding trust in God. She has been a counselor and friend to many. Her largest legacy is love, and it will live on in our lives and our hearts forever.
