Obituary for Don Popovich
Dragoljub (Don) Popovich, age 74, of Apple Valley, MN passed away unexpectedly on September 22nd, 2023.
Don was born in Sydney Australia and immigrated to the United States along with his family in 1969 at the age of 19. After settling in Minnesota, he met his future wife and mother of his children, Cindy, in Burnsville. He would go on to create a loving home for his family in Apple Valley. Don was a driven professional and dedicated father. His life’s mission was to provide his children with unconditional love and support, and to allow them their greatest opportunity for success. He had great appreciation for good food, good friends, and a deep and unwavering love for his family.
Don is survived by his children, Marko (Kelly) Popovich and Tanja (Mike) Silberg; grandsons, Alexander and Luka Popovich; and former wife and friend, Cindy Popovich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zivko and Zorica Popovich; and brother, Aleksandar Popovich.
A service will be held at the Kozlak-Radulovich Maple Grove Chapel at 12PM on Friday October 6, 2023. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the chapel. Interment at St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery.
