Revering Jr., Hugo Jerome
Age 72 of Blaine, Minnesota, formerly of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a strong man who never lost his will to live.
Hugo graduated from Evansville High School in 1965 and served in the Army Reserve from 1966-1972. He made his career at 3M and retired after more than 30 years, and went on to work in the siding business with his son.
Hugo is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irene; his children, Patrick (Debbie) Revering and Michele (Michael) Gaabo; grandchildren, Nicholas Revering, Lindsey and Brayden Gaabo; brother, Leon (Kathy) Revering; sisters, Mary Augdahl, Angie (Jerry) Gilliam, Ruth (Gary) Larson and Lucy (Neil) Roers; mother-in-law, Agatha Thoennes; in-laws, Elaine Och, Mary (Paul) Beutler, Marvin (Lori) Thoennes, Gerald Thoennes, Charles (Kim) Thoennes, extended family, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Hugo is preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Mildred Revering.
Hugo loved working with wood, especially building furniture. He enjoyed family time at the cabin for a number of years until it became too difficult to maintain two homes. He spent endless hours keeping up the yard and home, and was always ready for the next project.
He loved to travel with family and friends, and thoroughly enjoyed winter getaways. He enjoyed watching the grandchildren play sports and participate in school activities.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, 2/10/2020 at THE CHURCH OF ST. TIMOTHY, (707 - 89th Avenue NE, Blaine) with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment Epiphany Cemetery East.
