Obituary for Julia D Benyo (Skovran)

Julie D., age 90, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2019.

Preceded by husband: Andrew, parents: Mary and AndrewSkovran, brothers and sisters: Mary (Landstrom), Andrew, Peter, John, Bill and Dan Skovran, Anne (Reynolds), Helen (Dunham), Irene (Curtis) and Margaret (Forrest). Survived by children: Kathy Benyo-Albrecht and Julianne Benyo Hertog (Troy), grandchildren: Erin Raiolo (Nick), Tim Albrecht, Cynthia Roeller (Brian) and Brandon Hertog (Nausha), great-grandchildren: Emma and Erick Raiolo, Jepthah and Raya Hertog and Liam Roeller, sisters: Barb Schaller (Rob) and Alice Nelson. Special friends: Gary Albrecht, Martin Van Buren and Marki Kaveney; 31 nieces and nephews. Julia was born and lived on the same street her entire life in St. Anthony Village. She graduated from Edison High School in 1947, was a receptionist for GE, and then became a home typist for General Mills Corp. from where she eventually retired. Long-time member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral in MPLS.

A special thanks to the staff at Homestead of Anoka TCU for their exceptional care of our mother. Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL 1918 University Ave. NE Sunday from 3 to 6 PM. Funeral service at ST. MARY’S ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL 17th Ave. NE & 5th Street Monday at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery.
