Obituary for Lawrence R. "Sonny" LaValle
LaValle, Lawrence R. "Sonny", age 85 of Blaine, passed away Jan. 1st, 2020. Larry was raised in North Minneapolis, attended Ascension Catholic School and graduated from North High School in 1954. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He married Ione Toftner on April 7th, 1956. He owned and operated LaValle Construction for over 40 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Vernon and Helen LaValle; brother, Vernon LaValle; and sister, Virginia Van Hale. Survived by wife of 63 years, Ione; daughter, Kathleen Thuney (Steve) and Jacqueline LaValle; grandchildren, Jessica Harder (Scott), Russell (Shannon) Harder and Joseph Thuney (Yvette); great-grandchildren, Matthew and Noah; brother, Lloyd (Peggy) LaValle; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends, especially, life-long friends, John Kosmalski and Frank Evangelist.
Funeral service 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave. NE & Hwy 65, Blaine). Visitation 6 - 8 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service. Interment Ft. Snelling.
