Obituary for Margaret Mary Erickson (Mulvihill)

Erickson, Margaret Mary (Mulvihill) age 102 of Minneapolis. Passed away peacefully on October 16, 2020 at the Catholic Eldercare in Minneapolis. Margaret was born on June 2, 1918 in Northeast Minneapolis and was a true "Nordeaster" having never lived more than 3 miles from the house she was born in.

Preceded in death by parents, William and Susanne Mulvihill; brothers, Bernard, William and Robert; sisters, Marion and Dorothy; grandson, Robert; granddaughter Linda Jo. Survived by sons, Bob (Enid), Doug (Kameo); daughters, Karen Hunziker, Nancy Nelson (Harlan); sister, Evelyn Zukowski; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; plus many treasured nieces and nephews.

Mom lived independently at the Monroe Village Apartments for the past 15 years. She loved winning at their Bingo games and the Friday morning Coffee and rolls. We want to thank Kathryn and the other residents for the caring and love they showed her over the years. Mom was a great mother and mother-in-law, kind to all and loved by many. Her love of her God and church was very deep. When the virus hit she couldn't attend church, but, every Sunday she would put on her Sunday clothes and attend Mass via Television.

Mom will always be loved and missed by everyone who knew her.

Because of the COVID-19 there will be a graveside service open to anyone that would like to attend at 2:00 PM Wednesday at ST. ANTHONY CEMETERY 2730 Central Av. NE, Minneapolis, MN. Masks and Social Distancing are required. There will be a Celebration of Life Mass at a later date.

Thank you to the caregivers at the Catholic Eldercare for the wonderful care given to her in her final days.

Memorials may be directed to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
