Obituary

LERUM, MARTIN NORMAN SR.

Age 92 of Minneapolis, passed away Sept 24 2019. Born Nov 27, 1926 in Modena, WI, the 5th of 6 boys to Otto and Jennie (Sandberg) Lerum. At age 2, following the death of Otto, Martin was adopted by his namesake uncle, Martin Lerum and wife Christine of Minneapolis. Along with his parents, Martin is preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Palmer, Harold & Arne; half brother and sister, Adolph & Millie. Survived by wife of 69 years, Eunice; sons, Martin Jr. (Susan), Reid & Stephen (Roxanne); granddaughters, Siri, Karianne, Leighton & Madison; brother, Oliver; nieces, nephews & other relatives. Martin graduated from Patrick Henry High School, the University of Minnesota and also served in the Navy during WWII. Martin will be remembered most for his storytelling, knee high white socks, enjoyment from meeting people, support of the Minnesota Gophers and Twins, and loving dedication to his family, friends, but most of all, wife Eunice. Memorial service at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave. NE) Tuesday, October 15th at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior and reception to follow.
