With his family at his side, Mike, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2019 at Mercy Hospital due to complications of a stroke. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on August 24, 1935. He was preceded in death by many friends and family. Reality is most everyone was family to Mike. Mike's journalism career took he and Jo across the country from Nebraska to California to Minnesota. His loving family includes JoAnn, his wife of 63 years; children, Terry (Tammy), Kathy (Phil), Marty, Shelly, Tom, and Tim (Alex); grandchildren, Dustin (Meghan), Desiree', Luke (Sarah), Chelsey (Padric), Annie, Elli (Keith), Evan (Erin), Kyle (Rhonda), Nick (Lindsey) Allyson (Brian) Cody (Megan),and Charlie; great- grandchildren, Blaine, Waylon, Adeline, Avery, Leighton, Jayla, Rylyn, Jace, Amelia, Anabelle, Ripley, Carson, Landon, Kaden, Brielle, Leo, and Lucy. He loved each and every one so very much. A friend of Bill W. for 42 years. A recycler before it was vogue. A collector of anything. A crossword puzzle addict. A kind hearted, compassionate, funny man. A true red Nebraska Husker fan. If you're feeling it, wear something red. If not, he'll forgive you. Breathe easy Gopher fans. Please join us in celebrating the life of one heck of a guy at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave. NE & Hwy. 65) on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 3:30 PM with visitation beginning at 2 PM. Memorials preferred to the family. Interment summer of 2020 in Chadron, Nebraska. Details at a later date.
