Pete Biernat of Northeast Mpls left this world August 31st, 2021 from complications of pneumonia. He was preceded in death by parents, Ted and Sophie Biernat; and sister, Jan Pederson. He will be missed by brothers Len (Jeannette), Tom, and twin brother Joe (Sheila), and sister, Sue Russinik (Mike), and adopted brother Randy Kudzia, numerous nieces and nephews including Godchild, Amy.
Peter was a retired Teamster Local #120 member working for SuperValu Foods for 34 years. He loved Twins baseball and everything Northeast where he lived all of his 64 years. He passed away in the loving and caring North Memorial Hospital and took his last breath while holding the hand of his twin brother.
Love of people best describes Pete. He enjoyed getting together with friends and he considered everyone his friend. He was sentimental, gave generously, proud of his Polish Heritage and Catholic faith. His motto was to never talk bad of others, enjoy life, and say hello to everyone because they are all your friends.
Physically, Peter carried a heavy cross his whole life and did so with resolution and strength. No more weight to carry now. He has gone to see The Lord.
Special gratitude to the wonderful staff at Catholic Eldercare for keeping him comfortable during his stay.
Visitation at Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel, 1918 University Avenue Northeast Mpls. Thursday September 9th, 2021 from 4-8pm with memorial service at 7pm.
