Obituary for Preston Ortman
ORTMAN, PRESTON
70 years of Nowthen, Minnesota passed away after a battle with a rare and aggressive form of stomach cancer on September 13, 2019. For Preston, learning was a life-long pursuit. He was active in a number of martial arts, enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and traveling with his wife. Preston was a friend, mentor and advisor to many. He was always there for you when you needed him most. Family and relationships were extremely important to him. A goal of reconnecting past relationships not only for himself but also for those close to him, became a focal point in recent years.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Marlene Ortman; his son, Jason Ortman; his grandDOGter, Luna or “Fluffy” as he called her; his brother, Doug Harrell & wife Dee; many other relatives & friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Burton & Doris Marie Ortman.
A Celebration of Preston’s life will be held at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave. NE & Hwy. 65) on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 from 12 Noon – 4 PM. Our love to all who knew him. Om Mani Padme Hum.
