Dear Zeina and Family,
We were saddened to hear of the sudden death of Ramez, as my brother George had just told us that he had a great conversation with him this Easter.
When our Parents (Joseph Maroun El-Khouri & Rose Isaac) as newly weds, went to settle in Minneapolis they were trusted to care for Mike and Albert, as they first arrived from Lebanon on their own . As they all lived in a small apartment above the Grocery Store our Dad and Mom ran, our parents shared with us, many stories of those very busy days together with the Jacob boys and then the arrival of Ramez and their own mother, Rose.
In those years, my 3 older siblings were born in Minneapolis. I was much younger, last I visited Minneapolis, but I have the stories shared by others.
We pray that Many past memories of the good times and the successes made in settling down in Minneapolis will help to sustain you in this time of "loss". Lean on those around you, who have become so dear.
I recently came across a photo of my Dad, enjoying a visit at the 101 with Ramez. They were Smiling...... They are reunited now in Heaven.
May God Be With You, and May God Rest His Soul.
With Sympathy and Love,
Marsha El-Khouri Shiver, Subdeacon Claude Shiver, and Family

I will miss seeing Ray at Schuller's Tavern. I've known Ray, Zeina, Mark and Paul for so many years. What a wonderful family - always happy, welcoming and on top of their game saying hello to their extended family of longtime regulars at the restaurant. Ray was very kind and generous. He thrived on staying busy and involved. He was a truly admirable man. My deepest thoughts, prayers and condolences to Zeina, Mark, Paul, and family - just know that there are so many people supporting you with happy memories to lift you up during such sadness.
