RAMEZ “RAY” G. JACOB
Loving husband, father & grandfather, age 79 of Minneapolis passed away peacefully on April 16, 2020. Born May 7, 1940 in Kour, Lebanon. He came to the US with his mother in December 1951 through Ellis Island. Ray opened Jacobs 101 Restaurant with his brothers Albert & Michael, opened Schullers Tavern in 1989 and eventually Ray J’s American Grill in Minneapolis & Woodbury.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, George & Rose; siblings, Jack, Ann & Michael. Survived by beloved wife of 40 years, Zeina; sons, Mark (Alida) & Paul (Katie); grandchildren, Ray, Zac, Micah, Celine, Layla & Leanna; brother Albert (Elaine); many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Private family services will be held with interment at Hillside Cemetery. A Celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a later date once restrictions are lifted.
