RUSINAK
Rhonda L. (Sjostrom), age 67, of Fridley, passed away peacefully at 2:22 PM Tuesday May 3rd, 2022 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. She was born August 17th, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN to Mary and Myron Sjostrom who precede her in death. She is survived by loving husband Jim, sons Adam and Matthew, daughter Nadia (Mark) Wesche, grandsons: Luke, Benjamin and Noah, along with siblings Dane, Blair and Renee, six nieces and one nephew.
Rhonda was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral where she volunteered wherever there was a need, including the Women’s Club, Perohi Group, Funeral Luncheon preparation, Church School, Vacation Bible School and spent some time as church secretary. She loved spending time with her grandsons and reading books. She was also an avid gardener, baker and traveler both throughout the USA as well as Europe and Israel in her youth.
Visitation at ST. MARY’S ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL 1629 NE 5th Steet Monday from 5 to 7 PM with Vigil Prayers (Parastas) at 7 PM. Funeral service at the CATHEDRAL Tuesday at 10 AM with visitation from 9:30 AM until time of services. Interment St.Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery.
