Obituary for Richard Curtis Crowell

Richard Curtis Crowell of Maple Grove, went into the arms of Jesus on September 23, 2019.

Richard was born on May 22, 1946 in Minneapolis and grew up in Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Park. He graduated from Osseo High School in 1964. On July 2, 1966 he married Janice Grossinger. Together they raised 2 sons, Scott (b. 1968) & Brad (b. 1973).

After high school, Richard spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He then attended Dunwoody College of Technology, studying electricity; which he made his life’s work.

Richard thoroughly enjoyed the pastimes of summer & winter fishing, camping and woodworking. He made many pieces of furniture for his home.

Richard is survived by his adoring wife Janice, 2 wonderful sons, Scott (Susie) & Brad, loving sister Barbara (Emery) Johnson, cousin Gwen Falck, several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews, mother-in-law Vi Munsinger, sisters-in-law Donna (Dave) Pettman, Jeanie (David) Darbro, Judy (Douglas) Bradford & his faithful dog Kesa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester & Marjorie Crowell.

A funeral will be held on October 5, 2019 at Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Home, 13745 Reimer Drive, Maple Grove. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. A celebration of Richard’s life will begin at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Nathan Grams of Emmanuel Christian Center. A luncheon will follow.
