Loved by her family and friends, Vergin’s life was all about Family and her Faith. She helped her husband in his ministry no matter where it took them, while raising 5 children and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Archpriest Reverend Father John G. Khoury, her daughter, Zarafat, grandson, Daniel Anderson, her parents, and four sisters.

Vergin is survived by her four children: Elias (Seta), George (Brigitte), Feryal Rahme, and Antoine; eight grandchildren: (Zuzu) Daniel and Sabrina, (Elias) Matthew, Rebecca, Christopher and Serge, (George) Katrina, (Feryal) Mary and Yousef, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Therese, Leila, Elias, Antoine, and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation at ST GEORGE ANTIOCHIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH 1250 Oakdale Ave., West St. Paul Monday from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral service at the CHURCH Tuesday at 11 AM. No flowers please. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Mercy meal will follow at St. George Church.

In that day, God himself will stoop down to each of his grieving children and – somehow, someway – he will dry up tears forever. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
