I had only met Jerry a couple of times, and I was pretty young at the time. But he was larger than life when I met him. His father was my grandfathers roommate at the MN Masonic Home. I still remember Jerry talking about working in the NFL and I thought that was the coolest. When we would cross paths he would take time to talk to me and my family. What a special person he was! I still have his autograph on a piece of paper. Prayers to everyone who knew Jerry, and to his entire family.
