age 82, of Maple Grove. Jim died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday. Preceded by brother: Ronald. Survived by loving wife, Jan, children: Nancy Wilkes, David (Jackie Williams) Carlson, Tom Carlson and LeAnne (Jim) Hobbs, grandchildren: Stephanie and Erin Wilkes, Devon Carlson, Rachel and Justin Hobbs. Jim worked for Carlson Companies for 33 years and served as Commander in the US Navy for 20 years. Funeral service will be held at MESSIAH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (17805 Cty Rd 6, Plymouth) on Friday at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior. Private interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Family prefers memorials to Wounded Warrior Project.
