Obituary

Obituary for Barbara Clark (Johnson)

Barbara Kay Clark (Johnson) was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on March 27, 1950. Barb went to her savior at age 69, surrounded by loving family on November 25, 2019. She married the love of her life, Jerry Michael Clark on August 22, 1970, and attended University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, studying to teach special education.
Preceded in death by parents Orlin and Irene Johnson (Schultz), mother-in-law Nora Clark, and in-law foster parents, Ernie and Loretta Kurth.
She is survived by her husband; two children, Alan (Sara), Laura Asiamah (David); three sisters, Susan Johnson, Connie Steinke (Darrell), and Cathy Parks (Kevin), sister-in-law Jan (Paul) Schilling and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving kindness for all children, pets and backyard creatures, reading Scandinavian mysteries, watching and supporting public television, dancing to music, gardening and decorating were her favorite pastimes.
Family and friends enjoyed her playful storytelling full of her welcoming manner, intelligent wit and humor.
If you or a loved one are dealing with cancer, Barb would have recommended the children’s book by Margot Zemach, “It Could Always Be Worse: A Yiddish Folktale.”
Her family is forever grateful to Fairview Hospice for their loving kindness and care in Barb’s final days.
A celebration of Barb’s life will be held at Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel, 13745 Reimer Dr. N., Maple Grove, MN. Visitation at 1:00, service at 2:00, followed by a casual luncheon.
