Obituary for David Joseph Krutzig

Age 55, of Maple Grove – beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend passed away surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, December 22. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph. Dave is survived by his wife and best friend, Betty; daughters, Laura (Derick) and Jana; mother Audrey; brothers Daniel (Gail) and Donald; sister, Beth; niece & nephews. Dedicated, generous, hard-working and optimistic, Dave conquered life’s challenges with vigor, tenacity, a smile and a positive attitude while being an inspiration to all. He was married to Betty for 33 years. Dave had an outstanding career in engineering and made significant contributions at every company for which he worked. He was a man of faith, who loved sharing his testimony and was actively involved in different areas of his church, but was particularly passionate about stewardship and small group ministries. Dave’s other passions were his cabin and downhill skiing. He was a ski patroller for 26 years and was also a former Maple Grove Firefighter. As a hobby, Dave enjoyed tinkering, planning and executing projects big and small. Visitation at REDEEMER COVENANT CHURCH (7801 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park) on Friday, December 27, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service at the church on Saturday, December 28 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment at Clear Lake Cemetery in Clear Lake, WI on Saturday at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Redeemer Covenant Church or to Evangelical Covenant Church - Congo Gifts.
