Obituary for Elizabeth Marie Sweeney
SWEENEY
Elizabeth M., age 78 of Maple Grove passed away May 28th, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents (Mike and Grace Fairbanks), an infant child and 14 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald Sweeney and three children, (Stewart, Jillayne and Jana). Betty is also survived by, two sisters.
Betty was a talented hair stylist and fashionista well before her time, but her true love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Having been the guiding force behind her children’s lives, she never missed a chance to support, encourage and guide her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was an amazing and caring woman who was tough as nails having survived both lung and ovarian cancer . . . she was a fighter until the end, but it was a combination of both that ended the battle. Memorial services at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH MAPLE GROVE CHAPEL 13745 Reimer Drive Friday at 11:30 AM with visitation from 10 AM until time of service. Inurnment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Family prefers memorials.
