Obituary for George Pasichnyk

PASICHNYK, GEORGE
Age 82 of Brooklyn Center. Preceded in death by parents: Gregory & Zinaida. Survived by wife, Diana; daughters: Maria (Ken) Matlashewski & Christina (Yuri) Pedenko; grandchildren: Zoryanna, Roksolana, Gregory, Roma & Bohdana; sisters: Halyna Korsun & Milisa (Alex) Chainykiv; niece, Anna; many other family members and friends. George immigrated to the US from Polish-occupied Ukraine in 1950. He settled in Minnesota where he served as a Ranger in the Army and then met Diana Schembri. They married in 1970. George was an active member at St. Michael’s church where he served in many positions. His greatest joy was being “Dido” to his 5 grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Rachel Lerner & the staff of Frauenshuh Cancer Center along with Park Nicollet Hospice at Methodist Hospital for their outstanding care. Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave. NE) Monday, April 11th, 2016 from 5-8 PM with Vigil Prayers (Panachyda) at 7 PM. Funeral service at ST. MICHAEL’S & ST. GEORGE’S UKRAINIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 at 10 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
