A True Friend
Jim was a true friend whom we met at a German-American meeting in New Ulm, where we learned that his brother was a favorite old Army buddy. Over the years my wife Cora and I became good friends of Jim and his wife Kathy, with visits to their home and their visit to ours. Jim was a master gardener, an accomplished lathe turner and an expert sauerkraut maker. He was a man of many talents who adored his wife and his family. We think of him often, especially when we enjoy a salad from the lovely wooden bowl he made just for us.
