The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Carlson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I remember your mom as this petite little lady with perfectly curled blond hair who always had a big smile when ever you brought a friend over. More importantly I remember that she loved her boys so much. I know she was very supportive in all the sports you and your brother participated in, Dan Carlson. I also remember how much you respected your mom and loved her. This is very difficult for you no doubt, hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Condolence: Joan, what an increditable lady. I know you will be missed by so many, especially those beautiful granddaughters that you loved watching their soccer games over the years

We loved coming to Minnesota and lining our chairs next to yours at the soccer games and talking about trying to get you guys to visit California.

My last and a memory I will forever hold close in my heart
Is when myself, Alex, and the granddaughters drove to your home and had an awesome visit last spring. The kids
Were acting so silly, I feel like I remember Lindsey walking into the door for some reason.

You were so proud of the beautiful garden which is amazing and even though you weren”t feeling well wanted
To make sure we were taken care of. You gave us all ice cream bars and I hated to leave as we could have talked forever. May you rest in peace, your gentle soul will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you💗
