Obituary for JoAnn Helen Ripplinger

JoAnn, age 70, of Blaine, passed away on Tuesday, March 3 at Maranatha Care Center in Brooklyn Center. JoAnn was born on May 3, 1944 in Richmond, MN to Albin and Estella (Blasius) Niewind. She was joined in marriage to Leo Ripplinger on July 3, 1965. JoAnn was a kind and loving person and her greatest joy in life was her family and friends. When she was cooking and baking for them, she was in her glory. She enjoyed making baby blankets, quilting, reading, playing cards, going to the casino and watching the Food Channel.
Survivors include her loving husband Leo, daughters Kim – Austin, TX, Pam (Dan) of White Bear Township and her cherished grandchildren Kayla, Cole and Sydney; sisters: Carol (Denis) Holthaus, Kathy (Mike) Phillipp & Sue (Richard) Burg; brothers: John (Darlene) Niewind, Chuck (Alice) Niewind and Joe (Char) Niewind; in-laws: Elaine Gerads, Alvina Mader, Jim (Erma) Ripplinger, Bernice (Ernie) Skwira & Mary Kostreba, Millie Ripplinger, Marlys Ripplinger and Butch Kortenbusch; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Craig and her parents. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Maggie Philbrook Laine, and to the staff at Maranatha Care Center for the loving and wonderful care that was given to JoAnn. Visitation Thursday-March 5th, at 5-8 PM at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL 107th Ave. NE & Hwy #65. Mass of Christian Burial Friday-March 6th, at 10 AM at Church of St. Timothy, 707 89th Ave, Blaine, MN with visitation one hour prior to mass. Interment Ft. Snelling Cemetery.
