January 19, 2020 John Muesing Celebration of Life My name is Donald Nolte and John and I have been friends since 1948. We both grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota on North Franklin Street; our houses were one block apart. We attended grade school at St. Paul's Lutheran K through 8. We both attended high school at Martin Luther High, also in New Ulm. We both liked school, music and sports. John was an excellent student. We both played basketball together up through our senior high year. John and I shared a lot of other things in those early years. John had a Lionel train and I had an American Flyer. But the most important thing we both had was a gift from God; we both had wonderful Christian mothers. Their love and training had a lasting impact on both of our lives. John went on to become an MD and settled in the Minneapolis area. I became a high school teacher, and later a computer programmer-analyst. While John remained in the Twin Cities, I moved from one computer project to another in Minneapolis, Detroit, California, Michigan, Atlanta, and finally in New England. In spite of this we always stayed in touch over the years. I always considered John my best friend, and I know that he was a good husband and father. Along with his family and loved ones, I am looking forward to seeing and rejoicing with John again in our heavenly home, praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
