Kathleen Ann Johnson (Laabs), formerly of Grove City, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018, from a long battle with cancer at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park, MN. Preceded in death by both grandparents (Laabs and Kaderbek). Kathy is survived by her husband Dan; two sons, Kolten (14) and Tristen (10); one daughter, Mileigha (13); her parents, Virgil and Joyce Laabs of Kandiyohi, MN; sister, Denise (Scott) Kingery of Sartell, MN; her in-laws, Marlin and Bonnie Johnson of Coon Rapids, MN; brother-in-law, Howard (Carrie) Johnson of Ham Lake, MN; sister in-law, Tamie (Jim) Williams of Willmar, MN and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She loved gardening, singing, and crafts. She was a caring, kind, and loving family person. Kathy loved watching her kids play sports, especially karate and soccer. Kathy’s family was everything to her.

Kathy was born on February 26, 1971 at Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN to Virgil and Joyce (Kaderabek) Laabs. She was baptized June 11, 1971 at the Church of St. Peter Catholic Church in Eden Valley, MN. Kathy graduated from Atwater-Grove City High School in 1989. She attended Willmar Technical College and Mankato State University.

On April 21, 2001 she was united in marriage to Daniel Johnson from Coon Rapids, MN.
They made their home in Andover , MN. Kathy worked at Conway Deuth and Schmiesing CPA in Willmar, MN, Target Corporation as a VP Admin to Curt Ulrich and a VP Admin for PAM at Medtronic.

Visitation will be at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1385 107th Ave. NE, Blaine, MN 55434) Thursday, July 5th, from 4-7pm and 1hr prior to service at church. Funeral Service will be at The Church of The Epiphany (1900 111th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433) Friday, July 6th, at 10:30am. Burial will take place after the funeral service at the Epiphany Catholic Cemetery.
