Life Story for Mariah Shoa Marie Vick

Mariah Shea Marie Vick was born on January 27, 1992 in Minneapolis to Sarah Vick and Jack Moore. She was a beautiful child who charmed her grandparents, aunts and uncles. When she was six years of age her brother Geza Duna was born and he soon became the apple of her eye. She was proud of the fact that she often helped care for him. At age 10 she moved to Prescott to stay with her grandpa and grandma Vick. Many caring relatives, teachers, friends and counselors loved and helped her adapt to her new home. Like most people, Mariah demonstrated many aspects of her nature—laughter, anger, curiosity, helpfulness, and a loving heart. At age 13 she participated in the WI junior teen beauty contest and was a runner up. She also discovered an aptitude for poetry. Several of her poems have been published and she won a national poetry contest in her age group. As an adult, Mariah lived in Wausau, WI and Williston, ND. In April of last year her mother Sarah Vick passed away. Mariah came home to help with the funeral. She demonstrated amazing love and maturity in this difficult situation. In December of 2013 she moved to Houston, TX to start a career in rap music. The traffic accident which occurred in the evening of December 18, 2013 cut short the life of this loving and beautiful spirit. Memory Eternal! Mariah is survived by her father Jack Moore, stepfather Scott Duna, brothers Geza Duna and Cito Moore, sister Marianna Vick, Grandmothers Charlotte Vick, Marian Lazor and Edith Cox, plus uncles Douglas Vick, Cliff Pritchard, Matt Vick, Shawn Johnson, and aunts Beth Johnson, Alissa Vick, Kris Lazor, Florinda Cox, Kiki Sibley, Nicki Daye, and numerous cousins.
