Obituary for Owen Devein Firle

Owen D. Firle, 89, of N.E. Mpls, died Friday, Oct. 3rd at his home. Owen is survived by his wife, Margie; sons Mike and Mark of Dripping Springs, TX and Paul of Osceola, WI; daughters, Maribeth Brooks of Knoxville, TN and Sheila Firle of Ft. Pierce, FL; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck and sister Vernette Kiecker of Fairfax; many nieces and nephews. He worked at Sunset Memorial Park and later at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. He was active in the Mpls Police Reserve for 20 years and worked at the airport in his retirement. He was a past member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and an active member of Nativity Lutheran Church. Services will be Tuesday, 7 p.m. at NATIVITY LUTHERAN CHURCH (3312 Silver Lake Rd, Mpls. 55418) with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Nativity Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
