The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Tollefsrud can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Loretta Salet
Condolence: My deepest condolences to Bear's family. I met Bear when i came to work at Control Data from Toronto for 6 months in 1981. He was a great friend to me and I remember hi fondly. I recall his passion for fishing and music. He always made people laugh and no party was complete unless he was there with his music.

Condolence: Thoughts, prayers and hugs to the rest of Rick's family. I remember growing up and always loving when Rick would be at any family functions. His smile and laugh were contagious to everyone around him. He treated us younger relatives as if we were kings or queens and that we were each special. I will never forget you Rick and will miss your laughter always. Rest in peace.

Condolence From: Dave Kuennen
Condolence: I knew Bear for quite a number of years, mostly by way of wine. But over those years I got to hear stories of the cabin, the old truck - and the new truck, his dogs, and fishing, plenty of fishing. I knew about "Spaghetti night" when he'd want a good Chianti or Zin and I heard about Cellars that go haywire and cook a prized stash of Bordeaux futures, and everything in between. I am glad I got to know him, and he will be missed. I'll raise a glass in his memory Saturday midday on the 21st, while I'm working here at what I dare say was his favorite wine shop. To all of Bear's friends let me say: Friendship is the wine of life. Let's drink of it. --Dave

Condolence: On behalf of Platinum Chiropractic I want to say how grateful we are to have known Rich. I will never forget all the days I was ready to toss my computer out of the nearest window and he would make a joke, tell me to go play with the fish, come around the desk, sit down and fix whatever needed to be fixed and then tell me what a "silly girl" I was for letting such a little thing work me up so much. Usually it was, "operator error" (his words, not mine) but he never hesitated to lend me a helping hand or a kind word. I used to love listening to his fishing stories and I will miss getting to see his smile and him telling me to "behave" every week. He will no doubt be missed everywhere but, in this office, the lights are a little more dim today.
