Condolence From: Christine Conlin (Jen Giertsens Sister)
Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Amy's passing. She was a great friend to my sister, Jen Carlson Giertsen. I've met her several times and yes, she always had a smile on her face and was hilarious in conversation. Hugs to you all and God's Peace knowing that she's with her brother Jon.

Condolence From: Michelle
Condolence: I Will never forget how she welcomed me into your family with so much love. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. So caring and loving, witty and talented and her family and friends meant the world to her. I am so sad that we don't have more years with her. I love Bryan and you all so much and wish I could help alleviate some of your pain.

Condolence From: Jackie Noble
Condolence: I'm so lucky to have called Amy my friend. She was sharp, funny and could build adventure out of any situation. She's the kind of girl that everyone should have the good fortune to grow up with. I'm counting my blessings for that and sending love to all of you. Love, Jackie and family (Terry, Bette, Mike and Amy)

Condolence From: Nicole Devine French
Condolence: First and foremost, I want to pay my condolences to Bill and Betty Ann Rabe and family. My heart goes out to you and your family. I want to thank your family for bringing this wonderful person into the world. She was such a unique, genuine individual there will never be another person like her ever again.

I met Amy when I went to St. Cloud State. We were fast friends and clicked immediately. We had a forever bond after that. I transferred to another college, but we still stayed in touch. In 2001 I was getting married, and this was before Facebook and such, but we connected via email and she ended up coming to my wedding. It was such a wonderful thing to have her there and to have those memories. She gave the best speech, of course, and then came up to my hotel room after to take all the bobby pins out of my hair. I would have never gotten those out of my hair if it weren’t for her determination. This is just one memory I have of Amy and I have so many more and that is why she is endearing to me. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, friend and person.

She loved words and she was an avid writer. I was intimidated thinking that I would have to write something about her because we would collaborate on stuff and she was always a better writer than I. I just hope I am giving her justice. I know she is at peace now and looking over everyone she loved. Just need to figure out how to not talk to her anymore because I miss her more than words can say. Rest in Peace my friend. Love you more than you know!!!!

Condolence From: Uncle Terry Canady and Aunt Joyce
Condolence: Dear Sweet Amy: How honored I am to have had you in my life. There was a sweetness about you that was unmatched. And your humor was the motor of life within the social settings in which you found yourself. My wife, Joyce, and I were always greeted with a big smile and "Toyce and Jerry!" at the family gatherings. Your Minnesotan accent was the absolute "cat's meow." And your impersonation of your mother losing something, blaming someone for stealing it, and then finding that she had misplaced it and apologizing to everyone was something that I always looked forward to having you re-enact whenever we all got together for Christmas or Thanksgiving. We will all miss your kind contributions to this family. When your mother called me today and told me that "we lost Amy," I was in a state of disbelief. And then your mother and I agreed that God had a plan for your dear soul. I will continue to pray that you are taken to your rightful place in heaven, there with your beloved Jesus and your dear brother, Jon. Thank you, Amy "Dweeze," for making my life more rich than it was before I knew you. Love, dear heart, from your Uncle Terry and your Aunt Joyce.

Condolence From: Shannon Calderwood
Condolence: Amy was such a bright light. I have so many memories with the Rabe’s and she was a big part of them. Always making my laugh and having the care and concern like the big sister she was. My heart aches for her loss from this world. Sending much love to the Rabe family during this very tough time.
