The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Clark Beyer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Friends for more than 30 years

Clark and I met in college as roommates at what we refer to as the green house. Our time together at the green house remain some of the best experiences of my life. A few years later when Clark bought his house on 7th, I moved in and became not just his friend, but his tennant as well. Within a year or so, I started working for him too. There are people who would question the wisdom of working for the same guy you're renting from, but we always had a good time. Years later, Clark joined me and a couple other friends to share a tent on a canoeing trip where I met my wife. He told me that he was pretty sure she liked me and that I should ask her out - turned out he was right about that one. When Candy and I got married a year and a half later, Clark was a groomsman in my wedding. I will miss talking with him, his sense of humor, hanging out with him, and our annual trip to the State Fair. I still can't believe that he is gone.
