A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the prayer service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel, 107th AVE NE and Hwy 65. Jeff passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous three-year battle with testicular cancer. REV Dale Swan will officiate.
Jeff was born June 10, 1977, in Winona, MN, the son of Suzanne Sivertsen. Jeff graduated with a law degree from UND and was a Personal Trust Officer for U.S. Bank, Minneapolis Office. Jeff found the love of his life and married Kari Svihovec on April 18, 2014.
Jeff enjoyed biking, camping, kayaking, fishing, golfing, jet-skiing and Friday night pizza. Most importantly, he enjoyed time spent with friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A wise man once said, "Remember to have fun in life."
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Kari of Blaine; sister, Jennifer (Chris) Zabinski of Clear Lake, nieces Megan and Caitlan, and nephew Ryan; stepfather Jason Sivertsen of St. Cloud; stepsister Lauryn Sivertsen of Grand Forks, ND, and stepniece Lilly; mother and stepfather in-law Jeanine (Ben) LaBerge; father-in-law Steve Svihovec; sister-in-law Amy (Jeff) Walker, and nephew Abram, all of Eau Claire, WI.
He is preceded in death by his mother Suzanne Sivertsen, grandparents (Herbert and Evelyn Dickhausen), and aunt (Donna Derwa).
Jeff's family would like to thank the U of MN Health, Indiana University Simon Cancer Center, and Fairview Hospice for all of their care and compassion. Also a special thank you to all of Jeff's friends and family for their support, prayers, and friendship.
